HAPPY BIRTHDAY HILLARY

Happy Birthday to our darling HILLARY!

Twenty-four years ago today you entered our world and brought
with you a joy that could not be contained.
You completely and forever captivated our hearts.
By your first birthday there was only a hint of the curls to come.
You were your Gran's daily delight!
By your second birthday you had the softest fluff of curls
and great joy in exploring your world.

At two, you loved your Little Mermaid tent
and when you played in your
bedroom it was hard to find you among the toys.
See the hat? You loved wearing hats
more than any child I ever knew!

 Easter 1993

What fun!!

You channeled Lucille Ball

 Your 13th birthday
Blonde highlights - A DANCE!
and it was
"I am Woman - Hear me Roar!"
Oh, the teenage years!

 Your 15th birthday
The high school and Volleyball years begin!
Always our beautiful girl - with just a
"little" touch of nutty!

 Your 18th birthday.

Senior Volleyball season and your wicked serve!

Graduation night - we were SO proud of you!

You had wanted a baby sister so badly.
And Hallie has adored you from the day she was born!
I pray that the two of you will ALWAYS
have a special sister-bond.

Your very own fur-baby - Malcolm.

Yes! Happy 24th Birthday, darling Hillary.

You have made so many of our wishes and dreams come true
over the past 24 years!

We wish for you . . .

the blessing of God upon your life
exceedingly abundantly above all
you can ever ask or think.
(Ephesians 3:20)

We wish for you to find love . . .
and to live contentedly until it finds you.

We wish for you independence . . .
and to know when to ask for help.

We wish that you would want for nothing . . .
and be thankful for what you have.

We wish for you to continue to have your beautiful compassionate heart . . .
and that you may always discern the best way to help those who need you.

We wish for you to continue to treasure your friendships . . .
and to BE a treasured friend in return.

We wish for you to know when to say "no" . . .
and when to say "yes!"

We wish for you to see the best in others . . .
without being blind to their weaknesses.

We wish for you the wisdom of experience . . .
and the inner strength to find it.

We wish for you to explore the world fearlessly . . .
but to know the danger zones.

We wish for you security . . .
and an eternal zest for life.

We wish for you an active, energetic lifestyle  . . .
now and for the rest of your life.

We wish for you not to put off joy . . .
but to celebrate life today and every day.

We wish for you to find a way to express yourself . . .
to reflect the unique creation God intended you to be.

We wish for you to like yourself . . .
and to be proud of who God has made you.

We wish for you to love the Lord . . .
and to express that love to others.

Most of all -
we wish for you a heart that yearns for the
One who made you  . . .
and that you would seek not only His blessings
but His presence.

We love you forever, our darling Hillary!
Gran and Grandaddy
