Matthew 5:3
For my sweet SS sisters: here are the answers to the blanks on yesterday's listening guide (p.11 in your workbook). I'll post a little commentary to go with each section throughout the week.
Being poor in spirit means:
- knowing yourself
- accepting yourself
- and being yourself to the glory of God.
When you are poor in spirit you
- accept others
- accept circumstances
- have a right attitude toward things
- and accept God's Will for your life
Being poor in spirit brings blessing because
- it enables us to grow in grace
- it enables us to reign in life
Cultivating a spirit of humility requires
- accepting God's estimate of yourself
- yielding yourself to God daily
- fixing your eyes on Jesus
- looking for opportunities to serve others.

I like this "summary." It really is a nice review.
